The London Eye

One of the things we have never got around to doing in London is the London Eye. So we decided late last week just to book tickets and do it. Amazingly we managed to get probably the loveliest, sunniest day so far this year and although a little hazy, had an amazing view over London. The boys loved it and while I thought they might be a bit freaked out about the height, took everything in their stride and seemed to really enjoy the whole thing.

The 30 minutes it takes to complete the full circle goes much faster than you expect and it's easy to fill the time checking out the different views. We also loved the 4D movie after the ride which is included in the price of the ticket - definitely one of the best 4D movies I've seen (although a bit loud in parts so not ideal for young kids).

We followed the Eye with an early lunch at Southbank and then walked along the river to the Tate Modern to see the Lichtenstein exhibition. Ah, London, you are such an amazing city.
